It starts with a call about what the chimney or fireplace is doing, what you've noticed and where. We'll ask a few questions about how you use it, then offer you a visit time. If you need someone soon, ask about same-day timing, since we can fit a visit in on some days.
Not sure what the problem is? That's fine. Tell us whatever's catching your eye, ear or nose, and we'll match the visit to it.
Step two, a free look at the whole system
Your pro inspects the chimney top to bottom, or runs a gas or electric unit through the checks its manual lays out. They'll point out what they find as they go, so nothing on the price comes as a surprise.
Buying a home, or dealing with the aftermath of a fire the fire department already put out? Let us know ahead of time, because the inspection goes further in those cases.
Step three, a price you can weigh up
You get the price in writing, split into clear lines, with no hidden fees. Urgent items come first, and anything that can be planned for later is marked that way too. Take the time you need to decide, since nothing goes on the calendar until you approve it.
If a repair can reasonably wait, the price says so, and our pros will point out what's worth watching until then.
Step four, the work and a tidy finish
On work day our pros lay down drop cloths, cover the hearth and nearby furniture, and keep dust contained while they work. When they're done, they clean up, show you what changed and answer any questions you have.
Bigger jobs, like a rebuild or a new fireplace, can take more than one day. Our pros will explain the plan for each day and leave the work area safe and tidy overnight. If we need to order a part, we'll tell you when it's due in.
